The One Hour Bookkeeping Method Launches on Friday

Hello Friends,

I am proud to say that I am finally releasing "The One Hour Bookkeeping Method" to the world this Friday.  It is a video series that I have been working on for far, far too long - so I am thrilled to finally be getting it off my desk. 

As many of you probably know by now, I HATE BOOKKEEPING!  I am a fantastic bookkeeper, but bookkeeping is not my passion.  In fact, if you explore this website, you will see that I do NOT advertise my bookkeeping services on this site anywhere.  This site was set up with the express purpose of educating small business owners and bookkeepers about bookkeeping practices in general.  My BIGGEST goal when I started the site eighteen months ago was to help small business owners protect themselves from the worst of type of bookkeeper – the embezzlers.  My Secondary goal was to help small businesses save money. 

“The One Hour Bookkeeping Method” developed as I ran my own bookkeeping business.  I wanted to get in and out of my clients’ offices quickly (for those stubborn few who refused to work with me over the internet), and I soon found shortcuts that saved time… a whole lot of time.  I dubbed myself the “One Hour Bookkeeper” because I found that I was able to do everything I needed for a small business in One Hour Every Other Week.  That was two hours a month for most small businesses. 

A couple years ago, I just knew that I had to show my method to other bookkeepers and small businesses.  In this blog, I have done the best I can to share many of those practices a spoonful at a time.  This video series, however, finally puts it all together so that you too can do your bookkeeping in a fraction of the time.  In a way, it is the baby that I have been nursing at the back of my mind for the last two years, and I hope you can make it work for you and your business as I have done for my clients.

What "The One Hour Bookkeeping Method" Offers

1. "The One Hour Bookkeeping Method" has 10 very simple Bookkeeping Lessons presented in a few short, step-by-step videos.  The longest video is approximately 8 minutes in length, while the shortest is around 2 minutes.  Together, the videos take less than One Hour to watch.
2. These videos were created so that the average bookkeeper, small business owner, or office administrator can follow along with their own bookkeeping program. 
3. The video steps are for QuickBooks users.  While many of the steps will also work with Quicken, and many will help save time with other bookkeeping programs,"The One Hour Bookkeeping Method" was designed specifically for QuickBooks users. 
4. This series does have tips for older QuickBooks programs as well as newer ones. 
5. This method is strictly for day-to-day bookkeeping procedures and does include:  Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Data Entry for Bank Accounts and Credit Card Accounts, Filing, Printing Reports, Job Costing and Entering Sales Receipts.
6. This bookkeeping method does not cover Payroll, Bank Reconciliations, Setup, or anything having to do with Taxes since these items are not done on a day-to-day basis.   

The Retail Price of the Video Series is $75, which is equivalent to One Hour of my time…as if you were hiring me for your office.
